Richard Sean Rice, 44, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Private services were held. Contributions can be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.

Richard was a passionate business owner/operator of his trucking company. He loved driving and was proud of his driving skills he learned while growing up on the farm. He excelled in everything he set his mind to.

Richard is survived by his parents, Kathy and Doug Shrout of Blue Springs, MO; brother, Steven Shrout (Tiera) of Blue Springs, MO; niece and nephew, Sydney and Wyatt Shrout of Blue Springs, MO; 2 sisters, Mindy Shrout of Blue Springs, MO and Cindy Shrout of Blue Springs, MO; and partner Gerardo Gonzales of Blue Springs, MO.
