RoseAnna J. Scarborough


RoseAnna Jewel Scarborough, 70, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial following in Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

RoseAnna was born on October 10, 1948 in Harrisonville, MO, daughter of Max and Grace (Pulliam) Gibb. She married George Scarborough on September 29, 2001. She was a teacher of love and patience to her 2 sons and her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her grandkids, gardening, canning, her pets, Hannah and Witter, and animals in general. She enjoyed working on the farm and driving the hay trailer. She had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her flowers and feeding the birds. RoseAnna graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1966 and graduated cosmetology school in 1968. She and George were very involved with the American Legion going to conferences and conventions. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Max K. Gibb and Danny Pulliam Gibb.

Her survivors include her husband, George Scarborough of the home; 2 sons, Perry Scarborough (Brandie) of Oak Grove, MO and Matthew Scarborough (Tiffany) of Oak Grove; grandchildren, Torrie Thielbar (Tre) of Odessa, MO, Juliann Becker of Columbia, MO, Dylan Scarborough, Abbie Scarborough, Keegan Scarborough, Kaden Scarborough and Kaylee Scarborough all of Oak Grove; and sister, Grace Evelyn Matter (Dee Hewitt) of Harrisonville.
