Donna Lee Schonhoeft, 81, of Independence, Missouri, passed away at her home, March 6, 2019. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12th at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m.; burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to KC Pet Project.
Donna was born February 24, 1938 in Melvern, Kansas, to Theodore C. & Lois M. (Feltner) Meusch. She worked at the Mid-Continent Library Distribution Center for 23 years. Donna loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them. She was active in the Raytown Garden Club, and loved to garden, go shopping, baking, and Colorado. Donna was truly loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and sharing her wonderful life.
Donna is survived by her children: Karen Kelsey & husband Wayne of Sibley, MO, Jana Rucker & husband Rick of Independence, MO, Rhonda McNabb & husband Jim of Queen City, MO, and Carla Houston of Odessa, MO; grandchildren: Sarah, Janel & partner Kevin, Peter & wife Cass, James & wife Amber, Amy, Taylor, Kate, and Sean; great-grandchildren: Chloe, Arianna, Ella, Harper, and Willa; and brother, Monty Meusch & wife Kathy of Austin, TX.
