Verlyne Nellie Snelling, 89, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; private burial. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
Verlyne was born February 4, 1926 in Clear Lake, Iowa, the daughter of William Edgar and Allie Bernice (Sellers) Huntley. She enjoyed embroidering, quilting, doing word search puzzles, gardening & growing flowers, and listening to music. Verlyne especially loved spending time with her family.
Verlyne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur Wilbur Snelling in 1986; her sister, Jackie Barker; and one son, Ronald Snelling.
Her survivors include one son, David Snelling & wife, Christine, of Grain Valley, MO; daughter, Diana Ericksen & husband, Lee, of Bates City, MO; granddaughter, Misty Kulpa & husband, Jay, of Germany; and two great-grandchildren, Brynlee & Brayden.
