John Andy Walker, 66, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 11th at Meadowview Gardens, 858 NW Hwy. Z, Bates City, MO, with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. and service at 2:30 p.m.
Johnny was born December 23, 1950, in Jackson County, MO, the 1st son of Mack & Anna Lee (Watson) Walker. He served in the United States Marine Corps, where he achieved the rank of Lance Corporal. Johnny married Sharon Rose Wright on October 21, 1976. He worked as a Lineman for 23 years before retiring after the death of his beloved Sharon in 2006. Johnny spent his last years enjoying his life visiting family and friends, caring for his dogs, and tending to his flock of chickens. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Those who remain to mourn him include two sons, four brothers, one sister, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other relatives who will miss him dearly.
Johnny will be remembered as a patriot, and a soft-hearted & loving husband, father, & grandfather. “Semper Fi”
