Anna Elizabeth Wedding, 86, of Sun City AZ, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26th at 1:00 p.m., with a visitation following from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hospice Advantage or to the University of Nebraska-Omaha Transplant Program.
Anna was born September 17, 1928 in Odessa, Missouri, the daughter of Eugene and Margaret (Sidener) Reeder. She was a secretary for various companies and two churches. Anna was a member of the Christian Church (Disciple of Christ) and active in their Women’s Service Group. She volunteered for the Arizona Organ and Tissue Donor program and the Sun City Prides, a civic beautification organization. She enjoyed creating beautiful handcrafted embroidered paper greeting cards, walking, dancing, and bowling. Anna donated her body to the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents and five siblings: Louise, Jim, Ernie, Sue and Mary. She is survived by three children: Larry Shrout (Cindy), Luanne Shrout (Jim Younts), and step-son Todd Wedding; sister, Betty Cotten; brother, Kenneth Reeder; sister-in-law, Margaret Reeder; ex-husband, Ben Shrout (Fran); two grandchildren: Sunny Ridings (David) and Akina Wedding; great-grandson, Douglas Ridings; numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
