
Diana Lorene Babcock-Wells, 70, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Great Plains SPCA, 21001 MO-78, Independence, MO 64057.
Diana was born February 7, 1946, in Garden City, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Edith (Dewey) Babcock. She worked for 20 years at Sears & Robuck in the catalog division, and then was a mail carrier for 10 years. Diana loved music, and played piano and other instruments. She was also an animal lover.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dewey Babcock.
Her survivors include her husband of 33 years, David A. Wells of the home; daughter, Vicki VonHolten of Independence, MO; three stepdaughters: Tammy Switzer (Brandon), Michelle Kmiec (Stan), and Renee Wells, all of Topeka, KS; eight grandchildren: Leilani, Chris, Samantha, Jordan, Aspen, Cheyenne, Haven, and Dante; seven great-grandchildren: Payton, Dylon, Izaiah, Malia, Kamdon, Elliott, and Brooklyn; one sister, Nancy Babcock of Kansas City, MO; and numerous cousins.
