Betty Jean Wicklin, 77, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5th at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence; burial in Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Betty was born October 20, 1938, in Buckner, Missouri, the daughter of Harry and Florence (Dietrich) Dunham. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at the lake, gardening, and cross-stitching. Betty was a member of the Eagles Club.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Wicklin; and two stepdaughters, Rhonda and Lisa.
Her survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Reeve and husband Mike, of Independence; one sister, Shirley Woodward of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren: Steven Wiggs and wife Theresa, Troy Ingrassia and wife Renae, Shaun Wicklin and fiancé Jessica, and Brandan Reeve and fiancé Caitlin; and five great-grandchildren.
