Jerrold Kent Worrel, 87, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1st at Grain Valley Restoration Branch, 32811 E. Truman Road, Grain Valley, MO 64029. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Jerrold was born January 22, 1932, in Sawtelle, California, the son of James A. and Carma A. (Moore) Worrel. He was a member of the U.S. Marines. Jerrold married Donnasue Stobaugh on July 26, 1957. He was a mechanic and was able to fix just about anything around the house. Jerrold was a carpenter for over 60 years and helped his dad build a house in Odessa. He loved fishing and camping.
Jerrold was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe A. Worrel; and three sisters: Joyce Richardson, Patsy Swartz, and Jana Paris. His brother, James A. Worrel, passed away shortly after Jerrold.
His survivors include his wife of 62 years, Donnasue; four children: Susan King, Kent Worrel, Robin Brosam, and Penny Sue Atkinson; sister, Doria Curtain; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
