Roger William (Bill) Marsh was born on September 5, 1957 in Kansas City, MO; the son of Roger and Lorene (Lewis) Marsh.  He grew up in Kingsville, MO; helping his father, a cabinet builder and farmer, in the shop and in the field.  He enjoyed driving tractors and tilling the fields.  He loved to play baseball and basketball with his brothers Donald and Larry and their many friends.  As he grew older, he helped neighbors and friends haul hay and work on their farms, eventually renting and farming his own land.  He went to Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO and graduated with a degree in drafting.  While there, he rekindled a relationship with Virginia (Jeanie) Quick, whom he had originally met as a young boy at Vacation Church School.  They were married on September 3, 1977 and moved to Oak Grove, MO, where he built a home on his in-law’s farm and lived for the next 43 years.  He and Jeanie had three children, Jim, Johnna (Anderson), and Julie (Fleming).  He was a devoted and loving father.  Bill found work in the plastics manufacturing industry and advanced from a draftsman to a mechanical engineer.  He had a brilliant mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.  He worked for many years with a number of close friends and colleagues at CKS Packaging, serving for several years as their regional project engineer.  Later, he and Jeanie welcomed three grandchildren, Heidi, Owen, and Milo.  Bill loved his grandchildren dearly and enjoyed taking them fishing, and building them toys and things to challenge their imaginations.  In addition to his work at CKS, he stayed busy working with his wife and son on the family farm raising cattle and gardening.  He served many years as an Elder in the Restored Church of Jesus Christ and created many enduring friendships in the congregations where he and his family attended church throughout the years.  He and Jeanie most recently attended the Bates City Restoration Branch in Bates City, MO.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife, Jeanie; his son, Jim, of Oak Grove, MO; his daughter Johnna Anderson and son-in-law, Jon, of Mulkilteo, WA; his daughter Julie Fleming and son-in-law, Mike, of Kansas City, MO; and three grandchildren: Heidi Anderson, Owen Anderson, and Milo Fleming.
