Bruce C. Markworth

Bruce Charles Markworth, 76, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020. A private family service will be held.

Bruce was born July 15, 1944 in Fond Du Lac County, Wisconsin, the son of Gerhardt and Mabel (Rautmann) Markworth. He was a line foreman for West Central Electric for 30 years. After his retirement in 1998 Bruce loved driving trucks over the road for 10 years. He served in the Navel Air and belonged to the Timothy Lutheran Church in Blue Springs. Bruce was a lifetime member of OOIDA. He liked watching baseball and football. Bruce enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and other activities and he especially loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 siblings: Alfred Markworth, Louise Darrah, Paul Markworth and Jeff Markworth.

Bruce is survived by his wife Marilyn Markworth, of the home; 5 children: Tammara Cornelius (Cary) of Archie, MO; Bryce Markworth (Mary Beth) of Archie MO; Trina Hamrick (Jay) of Oak Grove, MO; Brian Markworth (Beth) of Blue Springs, MO. and Susan Elliott (Ian) of Grain Valley, MO; 5 brothers and sisters: Donna Donel (George) of Brandon, FL; Elizabeth Keaton (Kenny) of Higginsville, MO; Joan Giano (Stathi) of Yorkville WI; Daniel Markworth (Patsy) of Concordia, MO. and John Markworth (Belinda) of Richmond, MO; sister-in-laws, Linda Markworth and Bertina Markworth; 12 grandchildren: Kelsey, Lindsey, Megan, Stephane, Quinn, Maygen, Emma, Brett, Georgia, Ember, Ada and Brody; 3 great-grandchildren.

      Thank you Curtis. You gave us all some special memories with Brian in your younger years. I think he thought you were part of our family as did I. We love you!
