Anna Marie Jones, 93, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Anna was born June 18, 1927 in Montrose, Missouri, to William and Anna (Wilson) Williams. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Anna liked exploring caves, gardening, and watching and collecting hummingbirds. She loved traveling and taking road trips. Anna enjoyed the outdoors and canoeing. She especially enjoyed being with her family.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O. Jones who passed August 9, 2001; brother, Bill Williams; and grandson, Chad.
She is survived by her daughter, Twila Peterson (Tom) of Independence, MO; 2 sons: Dennis E. Jones of Kansas City, KS and Bill L. Jones (Darlene) of Bates City, MO; 6 grandchildren: Heather, Christy, Josh, Jeff, Nicki, and Jacoby; 6 great-granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons; 2 great-great-granddaughters; and 2 great-great-grandsons.
