Dennis (known as “Pa”) R. Jones was born in Kansas City, MO on May 1, 1952. He passed peacefully at home in his sleep at age 68.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Barbara; brother, Darrell Franse; daughter Angela (Campbell) Byer (h. Eric); son Jeffrey Jones; son Mark Jones (w. Bobbi); grandson and best buddy Nick Jones (Madeline); granddaughters Marie Patterson, Kaylynn Jones, Tiffany Jones, Amanda Jones, Ashlyn Jones and Charlie Jones; and nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Bud and Rowena Jones; his brother Jim Jones; and his daughter Melissa Wulf (h. Jesse).

Dennis was retired. He was a true cowboy, and an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman. He loved to keep busy with various projects and hobbies.  Dennis didn’t know a stranger; he had a contagious smile and was loved by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 28th, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 1000 (1002 E. US HWY 24, Independence, MO).
