Theron Leon Adams, 85, of Independence, Missouri, passed away November 25, 2013. Leon was born in Norfork, Arkansas January 12, 1928 to Seth & Ersie Adams. Leon was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Irene Adams, on May 13, 2012; his parents; his brother, Vero; and sister Evern. Leon was a proud veteran of the 79th Engineer Core. He was known as “Fluffy” by his fellow soldiers and a member of the Chosen Few. Leon leaves behind two sons & their wives: Larry W. & Nadine Adams and Theron D. & Vanessa Adams; three grandchildren: Larry Jr., Matthew & Gracie Adams; two great-grandchildren: Larry III & Elizabeth; two brothers-in-law, Fred May & Richard May; and one sister-in-law, Geneva.
A joint Memorial Celebration of their lives together will be held in Arkansas in the spring of 2014. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
