Marion “Wayne” Allen, 78, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Monday, March 4 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial following in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Heart of America Chapter.
Wayne was born on November 14, 1940 in Versailles, MO son of Kenneth and Geraldine (Stringer) Allen. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Raytown and a member of the Old Goats Club. He loved to watch the Royals, read and spend time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Ralph Purvis.
His survivors include his wife, Ilene Allen of the home; 2 sons, Stephen Allen of Blue Springs, MO and Bryan Allen (Jennie) of Blue Springs; 4 grandchildren, Courtney Allen, Cole Allen, Sam Allen and Abbey Allen; 1 great grandson, Jaxson Nichols; and 2 brothers, Randy Allen of Liberty, MO and Kevin Purvis (Raeanne) of Seattle, WA.
