Sarah was born, Sarah Jane Webb, on September 6, 1957 in Independence, MO, the daughter of Jim and Janie (Duckworth) Webb.
Sarah attended elementary school in Buckner, 5th & 6th grades at Levasy school and graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1975. Sarah played softball in her younger years; first, fast pitch for the church team, then for Buckner Merchants. Then women’s and co-ed slow pitch for many years. She also loved playing recreational volleyball, especially the crazy nights at the Levasy Gym. She played all of these sports with many good friends. Sarah married Vincent Ulberg in 1980. To them were born Guy and LeAnna. They divorced in 1993. She worked various jobs throughout her career; Harmon Electronics, Buckner City Hall, Xtra in Liberty. She was ecstatic when she landed a job at the Sibley Power Plant. She worked there at MoPub / EnergyOne / Aquila / KCPL / Evergy, until she retired in December of 2019. She was well respected in her job at the Sibley Power Plant. Somehow, her friends could always talk her into little side jobs; like selling Salt City candles, Scentsy, and Beauty Control to name a few. She was quite the saleswoman. Sarah enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren most of all. She was a common fixture at their many athletic events and school activities. She was so proud of each and every one of them. She loved having her grandchildren spend the weekends with her. She enjoyed shopping at Kohl’s. She enjoyed spending time with her close friends; Cheryl, Candy, Mendi, Jodi and Susan. Sarah was a natural-born event planner; whether at work; for family reunions or with friends, a good time was always had by all. Sarah was a people person. She never knew a stranger. She was so kind hearted; always looking out for if anyone needed anything. She was well respected around town. She will be missed by all. Sarah was a member of First Baptist Church of Buckner. Sarah was cremated. Her ashes will be spread in Hawaii by her family in May.
