Tracy Lynn Barney Borich, 35, of Grain Valley, MO, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010 in Oak Grove.  Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help defray the funeral expenses; checks can be made payable to Carolyn Barney and dropped off or sent to Sterling National Real Estate, 1412 SW Eagles Parkway, Grain Valley, MO 64029.    The family also suggests giving to Wayside Waifs or planting a tree in Tracy’s name.

Tracy was born on September 4, 1974 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Carolyn Barney (Burns).  She graduated from Grain Valley in 1992, where she held the long jump record for 20 years; it was just broken this year.  She was employed at Nationwide RV in Grain Valley, after recently returning from Las Vegas, NV, where she had been employed as a pediatric dental hygienist.  She lived in Salt Lake City, UT prior to Las Vegas.  Her interests included mountain biking, skiing, and mountain climbing.  Tracy loved the outdoors and animals.

Tracy’s survivors include her mother, Carolyn; sisters Kellie Landon, Lisa McHenry, and Allison Speer; brother Jeff Barney (fiance Rhiannon Thomas); niece Jessica Speer; nephews Keith Speer, Tyler Speer, Bain Broadhead, and Liam Barney; maternal grandparents Roger and Carrie Geiken; and her dog, Danny.
