Thomas “Tom” Edward Buckley age 76 of Independence, MO. formerly of Franklinton, NC. Passed away at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be held on Monday January 7, 2019 12:00 p.m. at the New Covenant Faith Center 1706 N Jennings Rd. Independence, MO. 64058. The family will greet guests from 11:00 a.m. till the services starts. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty, MO.
Tom was born on December 19, 1942 in Kansas City, MO. the son of Tom Lee and Margaret Elizabeth (Hager) Buckley. He married Janet Carrol Hoover on February 17, 1995 and worked as an Engineering Specialist for 27 years at International Paper Co. Tom was a worker and he enjoyed building and working on cars especially his 1923 T-Bucket. He enjoyed watching You Tube videos, usually about cars. For 24 years Tom and his wife lived in Franklinton, NC. and they recently moved here to be closer to family. He loved his family and was always teaching his grandkids anything he could and he will be deeply missed.
Tom is survived by his wife: Janet, three children: Michael (Joycelyn) Buckley of Kearney, MO. Stephanie (Ronnie) Hull of Independence, MO. and Brenda (Gary) Neubert of Kenton, OH. Seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two brothers: Billy (Arlene) Buckley of Kansas City, MO. and Roy Buckley of Arkansas, one sister: Susie Johnson of Kansas City, MO. also many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Steve.
