Marian J (Hidy) Cawley 81 of Grain Valley, Mo passed away December 26, 2014. Marian was born March 19, 1933 to Gorden E and Stella M Hidy of Stewartsville, MO. She graduated from Stewartsville High School in 1951. She earned an Associates degree in Music from Drake University, a Bachelors degree from Graceland College and a Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri.
She was previously married to Dr H. Keith Snider and lived in Hamilton, Mo for 20 years. She taught music for many years at 5 northern Missouri schools as well as Troy Ks. On December 23, 1978 she married James E. Cawley of Grain Valley, Mo. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ Oak Grove Restoration Branch having served as the Womens Leader, Music Leader and Senior Adults Leader.
Preceded in death by her parents, and sister Ruth Ann Gunderson.
Survivors include her loving spouse Jim, children Marilyn (Mike) Moore Cameron, Mo, Melody Casey Lees Summit, Mo, Ron (Penny) Snider Hamilton, Mo, Debbie (Don) Norman Napoleon, Mo and Marty Matteson Fossel Or. She has 11 grandchildren Ryan, Rachel, Jamie, Jessica, Tiffany, Tessa, Aaron, Beth, Jared, Tim and Michelle, 18 great grandchildren, sister-in-laws Carol Adams Savannah, Mo and Barbara (Gordon) Holtsclaw, St Joseph, Mo.
Visitation at the Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Branch, Oak Grove, Mo from 5-7 pm Tuesday December 30, 2014. Funeral services following visitation. Graveside services at a later date. Memorial contributions to be sent to the church.
