Erma Elliott Cross, 88, of Independence, Missouri passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 19th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Grain Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Erma was born July 12, 1924 in Grain Valley, Missouri, the daughter of Claud and Lela (Taylor) Elliot. She married John W. “Bud” Cross in May 1942 and he preceded her in death December 26, 1991. Erma was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, horses, nature, and being outdoors. Erma was a member of Grain Valley Christian Church.
Erma was also preceded in death by her son, John Elliott Cross on February 24, 2011, and six brothers & sisters.
Her survivors include two grandsons, John Eric Cross of Grain Valley, & Jason Andrew Cross of Oak Grove, MO; seven great-grandchildren; her niece, Debi Allen of Independence, MO; and several other nieces, nephews and family members.
