Richard Elliott Borron, 63, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007 at St. Mary’s Hospital of Blue Springs. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3rd at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Richard was born on November 19, 1943 in Kirksville, MO, the son of Tracy N. and Clarice V. (Clapp) Borron. He owned and operated a barbershop in Oak Grove for many years. He also worked for Oak Grove Lumber Co. and was a volunteer firefighter. Richard was active in MSCA in the 80’s. Most recently, he worked for Skelgas Propane retiring after 19 years of service. Richard was a member of the New Boston Christian Church in New Boston, MO. He loved to garden and work in the yard.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur R. Borron.
His survivors include one son: David E. Borron & his wife, Kim, of Grain Valley, MO; two brothers: Wayne “Barney” Borron and Larry Borron, both of New Boston, MO; one sister: Emily Switzer of Bucklin, MO; one grandson: Adam Borron; one granddaughter: Katie Borron; two nephews, three nieces, and many great nieces & nephews; and one special “aunt”: Ruth Chaffee of Brookfield, MO.
