Mary E. Anderson, 77, passed away Thursday, March 5th, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at noon. A private graveside service for the family will follow. Rev. Dr. Michael McCall from First Presbyterian Church in Lee’s Summit, MO will officiate.
Mary was born in Lexington, MO on February 11, 1938 to Dolores and Howard Mollenkamp. She was married to Lynne Anderson on March 20, 1965. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this month. Mary was a very generous, loving person and especially loved her family. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
Mary was a lifelong member of the Grain Valley Christian Church. She had been retired for many years, but prior to retirement she worked at the First National Bank in Kansas City MO and the Bank of Grain Valley. She and her husband owned and operated a wholesale floral business in Pahoa, Hawaii for over 20 years before moving back to Missouri to be with family and friends upon retiring. While in Hawaii, they discovered their love for Scottie dogs. They have since raised 7 Scotties. The dogs have all been members of their family.
Survivors include husband, Lynne of the home, Sister, Linda Sharp of Lee’s Summit, niece Lisa McShane (Brian), nephew Jeff Cartner (Tria), Rodney Anderson and Roger G. Anderson. Great nephews include Roger C. Anderson, Scott Anderson, Cheyenne Cartner, Truman Cartner and Cody McShane. Great nieces include Kristin Cartner, Cierra Cartner, Lexi Pickering and Melanie Gilliam. She also had 2 great-great nephews, 5 great-great nieces and one great-great-great nephew.
