Amanda Heather Heath-Claxon, 29, of Oak Grove, MO suddenly taken from us December 1, 2014. A Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday December 5, 2014 at Oak Grove Community of Christ Church.
She was met at heaven’s gate by her grandfather Austin Eugene Story, and her older brother Christopher.
She leaves behind her loving husband of five years, Vernon Ryan Claxon, her siblings Nathan Heath, and Amber Foree, nephews Wesley and Evan, parents, Douglas and Venita Heath, her grandparents Sylvia Story and Elbert and Joyce Heath.
Amanda was the most sweet, loving, compassionate person that we have ever met. She loved to sing, beautifully adding her voice to a wide array of songs with family and friends. She also played a variety of instruments including the oboe, piano, harp, and penny whistle. She loved to craft and sew with family and friends, often hosting craft nights and tea parties just to draw people closer together. Amanda loved animals and was often found helping out at the family farm. She spent most of her life in Oak Grove, graduating from high school in 2004 and commuting to UCM until she graduated in 2009. She moved to Kansas City for a few years to take a few advanced doctorate courses, but ultimately returned to Oak Grove to live. She loved travel and visited many places including England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Hawaii, Australia, Fiji, and New Zealand.
Her love and light touched everyone she met and her presence will be sorely missed.
