Robert Newlon Donner, 85, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab. Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 26th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.
Robert was born January 10, 1930, in Butler, Missouri, the son of Calvin and Lola (Brown) Donner. He was a custodian for the NKC School District. Robert loved to cook, and was a Chef at several area restaurants including Gold Buffet, Denny’s, Putsch’s Cafeteria, and Americana on the Plaza. He enjoyed watching westerns and sports. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.
Robert was preceded in death three brothers: Calvin, Wilber, & Clyde; and two sisters: Dorothy & Lucille.
His survivors include his wife, Oleta Donner of the home; son, Michael Cooper of New Orleans, LA; daughter, Rena Miller of Lee’s Summit, MO; and two grandchildren: Ashton Miller of Texas & Justice Miller, serving in the U.S. Navy.
