Dale Eugene Shackelford, 84, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at home. A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at Blue Springs Cemetery 2800 SW Walnut Street, Blue Springs, MO 64014.
Dale was born on June 25, 1936 in Independence, Missouri, son of Andrew J. and Irene (Shrout) Shackelford. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1954. Dale married his wife, Helen M. (Bristol) Long in 1976 and they ran a delivery business for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: William Jackson Shackelford and Hubert Allen Shackelford.
Dale is survived by his wife of 44 years, Helen M. Shackelford; one sister; Gloria Ann Taylor, five children; Julie Travers, Amy Moore, Sally Fields, Teresa Kless and Robert Long; ten grandchildren: Brian Travers, Thomas Travers, Mary Yates, Dana Willitts, Leigh Ann Juarez, Elizabeth Moore, Abigail Fields, Jason Fields, Joshua Kless and Katie Kless; and ten Great- Grandchildren.
