Rita Ann (Clark) Draeger, 72, of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.
Rita was born November 12, 1942 in Wellington, MO to Samuel L. Clark and Nelcena Mar Brock. She lived most of her life in the Lafayette and Jackson County areas. She attended school in Lexington, MO.
Rita liked to fish and catch the big one. She enjoyed gardening and she especially loved caring for her family. Rita was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Brixey of Independence , MO; sons, Warren Brixey of Pleasant Hill, MO, Eric Crain of Independence, MO and David Crain of Independence, MO; three grandchildren, Mandalyn, Shane and Keylee; her siblings, Anna Mae Case, Norman Keller Jr., and Debbie Eastridge, all of Lexington, MO and Carl Keller of Independence, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions in Rita’s memory to Children’s Mercy Hospital, 24th & Gillham, Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015 at New Salem Funeral Home, Independence, MO; burial in New Salem Cemetery.
