Pauline Fay Farber, 81, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
Pauline was born July 17, 1936 to Elmer and Evelyn (Beckman) Schnitker. She was raised in a beauty salon in Buckner, Missouri, with her siblings, Darlene Schnitker and Rick Beckman. At age 17, Pauline met and married Bill White and had 6 children: Renee, Michele, Billy, Steve, Penni, and Dean White. After raising her kids, being an active Girl Scout Troop Leader, making dance costumes, and attending her children’s numerous activities, she decided to attend Wilton Cake Decorating School in Chicago, IL, where she met her second husband, Fred Farber. She then became a Computer Programmer for the First National Bank of Chicago for many years. After retiring, Pauline relocated to Las Vegas, NV, where she loved having her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren visit and also enjoyed going to casinos with her husband. After becoming a widow, she moved back to the Kansas City area to be close to her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by the many who knew her.
Pauline is survived by her children: Renee White and Steve Ramirez, Michele and John Stiles, Billy and Renay White, Steve and Cindy White, Penni and Derek Elrod, and Dean White and Sharon Hall; her brother, Ricky Beckman; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
