Olene Loretta Fizer, 88, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Amarillo, Texas at Ware Memorial Living Center.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December at New Salem Funeral Home Chapel, 1823 Blue Mills Road, Independence, Missouri with the Reverend Mark Bender officiating. Burial will be at New Salem Cemetery.
“Ma”, as she was lovingly called by her family, was born in Union, Arkansas and raised in Salem. On May 18, 1946, she married her husband of 67 years, Oscar David Fizer Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Clavis and Nora Tanner; and one brother, Thirl Tanner.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Fizer of Independence and Doneice Ray and her husband, Jerry of Amarillo, TX; seven adoring grandchildren; and eight loving great-grandchildren.
