June Yvonne Friend passed away November 27, 2012 at her home. She was born April 4, 1936 in Littleton, CO, the daughter of Floyd E. and Violette V. (Peacock) Fetterhoff. She married her high school sweetheart, Glen L. Friend, on October 24, 1954. June was the bookkeeper for the family business, CG Industries, of Grain Valley, MO. She attended Colbern Road Restoration Branch Church.
Her survivors include her husband, Glen Friend; two sons, Mark Friend and Jacob Friend; and one daughter, Susan Hausheer. June was preceded in death by one son, Matthew Friend. Her ten grandchildren include Mariah, Rebekah, & Andriah Friend, Myranda & Isaac Hausheer, Andrew & Jordan Friend, and Tarah, Sarah (Roberts) & Karah Friend. Her newest joy was a great-granddaughter, Lillian Roberts. June is survived by many other family members and friends, who will miss her valiant spirit, faith, and perseverance in all things.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9th at Colbern Road Restoration Branch Church. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
