Mark Duaine Fulks, 63, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. Contributions may be made for the grandchildren’s education.
Mark was born July 17, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of George H. and Mary E. (Williams) Fulks. He was the Mayor of Oak Grove from 2004-2014 and a former music director at Oak Grove Methodist Church. Mark owned Mustang Valley Properties and Broadway Grill. He had also been a music teacher, a horse and oxen trainer, a wrangler, a movie stuntman, and an actor.
Survivors include Mark & Beth’s children, Jennifer Fulks (Bill Bancroft) of Oak Grove and Jared Fulks (April) of Bates City, MO; brother, Phil Fulks (Becky) of Odessa, MO; sister, Patti Parker (Jim) of Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren: Deven Fulks, William Bancroft, Amy Fulks, Leslie Fulks, Nathan Fulks, Ryan Fulks, and Andrea Fulks; great-granddaughter, Emma; and companion, Stacey McDaniel. He was preceded in death by his parents.
