Filipo Atonio Fuimaono, 59, of Oak Grove, MO passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints- Odessa Ward 300 E. Crestview Dr., Odessa, MO 64076 (816)633-5420. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to help with travel expenses for his daughters.

Filipo was born February 25, 1954 to Atonio & Merina (Lemaveve) Fuimaono in Utulei Samoa. Filipo married Carolyn Denison on January 28, 1978. He was a machine operator at Lake City Arsenal. Filipo was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints – Odessa Ward. Filipo was preceded in death by his parents: Atonio & Merina Fuimaono, 1 grandson, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Filipo is survived by his wife, Carolyn Fuimaono of the home; 1 son: Elliott Fuimaono of Fulton, MO; 6 daughters: Shyla LaFaele of HI, America Fuimaono, Mariah Fuimaono of Oak Grove, MO, Olivia Fuimaono, Jerrica Levi both of HI, Xandra Fuimaono of Oak Grove, MO; 3 sisters: Ologa Storey of Sibley, MO, Alofisula Manning of Oak Grove, MO, Ane Thomas of Independence, MO; and 7 grandchildren.
