Betty Lou Garner, 72 of Oak Grove, MO passed away December 27, 2014.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO.
Funeral service will follow at 11a.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Betty was born September 2, 1942 in Lee’s Summit, MO to Thurman M. & Susan E. (Yoakum) Carroll. Betty married James A. Garner on October 5, 1977.
Betty worked as a secretary for the Boilermakers Union and retired in 1995 and Twana Gower C.P.A. Betty was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and had traveled 48 states.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents: Thurman & Susan Carroll, sons: Scott Anderson, Tim Garner, Kenneth Garner and daughter: Mira Garner.
Betty is survived by her husband Jim Garner of the home; sons: Henry McKenzie of Independence, MO, Gerald Garner of Richmond, MO, Mike Garner of Independence, MO, Dan Garner of Hagerman, ID; sisters: Joanne Gloia, Maxine Rhoades both of Lee’s Summit, MO; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
