Bradley W. Goodman, 53, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away May 10, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born April 2, 1961 in Jackson County, Missouri to Charles W. and Virginia (McKinzie) Goodman. He was a lifelong resident of Eastern Jackson County, graduating from Grain Valley High School in 1979.
Bradley met the love of his life, Marjorie Bayless in 1988 and they were united in marriage April 22, 1989 at First Baptist Church of Grain Valley. He was the owner/operator of Goodman Fence Company. Bradley loved sports. He played football in school, coached his nephew in Little League football & t-ball, and enjoyed cheering on the Royals and was a lifelong “True Chiefs” fan. Bradley will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors. He was an award winning fisherman and accomplished outdoorsman.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, of the home; his parents, Charles & Virginia of Grain Valley; sister, Tracy Goodman, nephew Johnathon Stubbs, & niece, Taylor Criss, all of Odessa, MO; his in-laws, Leland & Wilma McNeel; sisters-in-law, Janet Bayless & son, Hunter, Cindy Parker & son Jeremiah, all of Odessa, Brenda & Forrest Schreier and children of Independence, MO; a stepbrother-in-law; two stepsisters-in-law; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews & friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on May 14th, with the funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Marjorie Goodman.
