John Adair Gossett, 80, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014.  There will be no services.

John was born February 10, 1934, in Oak Grove, Missouri, the son of Marion B. and Mildred E. (Newman) Gossett.  He worked as a night stocker at local grocery stores.  John enjoyed hiking trails and being out in nature, and watching sports.

John was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Mary D. Gossett.

His survivors include two sons: Charles D. Gossett of Europe & Jack R. Gossett of Indiana; brother, Bill Gossett of Liberty, MO; and seven grandchildren.
