Doy Lee “Bones” Greer born January 10, 1939 died on June 9, 2011 after losing his two year battle with lung cancer. He died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife Gladys, family, and friends. Bones was a retired Ironworker from Local #10. He retired early giving him lots of time to do the things he loved like riding his Harley, fishing, playing his guitar, and watching country music videos. Most of all, he loved being able to spend time with his family and friends. Bones touched many people’s lives and we will all miss him very much, but it gives us comfort to know he is no longer in pain and he is now riding with Heaven’s Angels. Bones leaves behind his wife of 49 years, his daughters, son, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other family members and lots of friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO. Please come to honor a great man that lived a wonderful and fulfilled life.
The family sends a very special thanks to Crossroads Hospice.
