Nora G. Gurtner, 90, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 06, 2010 at Shangri-La Rehab & Living Center, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 10th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 9th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Nora was born on April 16, 1920, in Charlottesville, Virginia, the daughter of Earl and Lucille Enlow Butler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymon Gurtner, and three sons,Wayne Gramlich, Alan Gramlich & Eugene Gurtner.
Her survivors include two daughters: Barbara Pope & Carolyn Gramlich; four grandchildren: Becky Thompson, Brian Gramlich, Shellie Nunnelley, & Eugene Gurtner II; five great-grandchildren: Crystal Berkley, Tiffany Swim, Samantha Nunnelley, Raymon Gurtner III & Tyler Gurtner; two great great-grandchildren: Jazsphere & Austin Ulleberg; and her golden retriever mix dog, Sasha.
