Delbert Lee Harlan, 87, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 18th at Blue Springs Cemetery, Blue Springs, MO.
Delbert was born October 13, 1926 in Prairie Hill, Missouri, the son of Orvil and Opal (Short) Harlan. He married Cloeta Carpenter on February 25, 1950. He was a welder at General Motors, retiring in 1980.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Ronald D. Harlan.
His survivors include his wife, Cloeta Harlan of the home; son, Wayne & Sandra Harlan of Lee’s Summit, MO; granddaughter, Andrea & Todd Shellhorn of Blue Springs, MO; and great-granddaughter, Alexis Shellhorn.
