Pamela Joyce Istre, 64, of Sugar Creek, MO, passed away January 25, 2014. Pamela was born May 3, 1949 in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Thomas Winfield and Madeline Ruth (Smith) Clay.
She worked for Hallmark for many years, both in Liberty and Kansas City. Pamela loved to play Bingo and slot machines. She also liked to fish. She had a love of music, especially “Elvis” and loved to dance.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis W. Istre of the home; a son, Paul Williamson also of the home; a daughter, Lori Williamson of Indep, MO; 2 brothers, Billy Clay and Thomas Richard Clay; 2 sisters, Ann Hefley and Patty Gallagher; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to American Cancer Society.
A viewing and visitation will be held at New Salem Funeral Home on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m.
