John Thomas Hamburg, 57, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
John was born January 26, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri to John and Mary (Ehrlich) Hamburg. He enjoyed many things, including remodeling, small engine mechanic and HVAC. He loved riding his motorcycles and doing woodwork on his scroll saw. John was constantly busy doing something to help others. He always asked “What can I do for you?” not, what can you do for me. He spent the last 16 years with the love of his life, Linda. John was not perfect, but he had a heart of gold.
He was preceded in death by his father.
John is survived by his mother, Mary Hamburg; fiancé, Linda VanFossen; brother, Michael Anthony Hamburg; sister, Anita Marie Bowlen; nephew, Jesse Lee Bowlen; Niece, Nicole Marie Walker; great- niece, Hailey Walker; great-nephew, Jackson Walker and great-niece, Lucy Bowlen.
