Donna Jane Galland Jackson, aged 65, of Independence, Missouri, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri.      

Born September 2, 1950 in Cottonport, Louisiana, Donna was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed her daily coffee, cooking southern Louisiana cuisine, and cherishing her family and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Zenella Galland, and son Scott Stevens.  She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Stephen; daughter, Stephanie (Jimmy) Bienvenu; stepson, Stephen (Sarah) Jackson; siblings Nathan (Sally) Galland, Randy Galland, and Darlene (Chris) Barrios; eight grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and loving family and friends.

Services will be held privately at a later date.
