Deborah Ann Nalani James, 52, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Kansas city Hospice and Palliative Care.
Deborah was born on March 9, 1955 in Marietta, Georgia, the daughter of Clarence C. and Domitila K. (Kaaihue) Chandler. She graduated from Belton High School in 1973. Deborah married Paul R. James on June 9, 1973. She worked for Cates Sheets Metal Industries, Inc. and was a member of Local #2 Sheet Metal Workers Union.
Her survivors include her husband of 34 years, Paul James of the home; her daughter: JoLynn Tiffany James of Independence, MO; her parents: Clarence & Domitila Chandler of Grandview, MO; two grandchildren: Gabrielle James & Kaimen Lennox; three brothers: David Kaaihue of Hawaii, Douglas Chandler of Grain Valley, MO & Darryl Chandler of Belton, MO; and two sisters: Denise VanDyne of Grain Valley, MO & Dawn Chandler of Raymore, MO.
