Iva G. Gardener Johnson, 102 of Buckner, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Kabul Nursing Home, Cabool, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 13th at Oakland Methodist Church, Buckner; burial in Oakland Cemetery, Buckner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the church.

Iva was born on August 13, 1905, in rural Grain Valley, Missouri, the daughter of John B. and Katie A. (Mackey) Campbell. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakland Methodist Church. Iva was married twice. She married Lee Gardner in July 1927 and he preceded her in death in September 1968. In December 1979, she married Chester Johnson and he preceded her in death in January 1987.

She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Russell Shaw, in 1960.

Her survivors include one daughter: Carolyn Meyer of Mountain Grove, MO; one son: Glen Gardner of Yakima, WA; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
