Larry Edward Jones, 62, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at St. Joseph Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, December 12th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends at Royer’s from 1-2 pm preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to his granddaughter’s education fund.
Larry was born July 3, 1947 in Clinton, MO, the son of “Pete” & Wilma (Simpson) Jones. He married Connie Kay Matthews on October 20, 1968. Larry was employed as a wallpaper hanger in commercial construction. He was a member of the Painter’s Union, Local #9.
His survivors include his wife of 41 years: Connie Jones of the home; one daughter: Samantha Canterbury & husband Josh of Grain Valley; one granddaughter: Madison Canterbury; one sister: Jeanie Boehler of Clinton, MO; and one brother: Dennis Jones of Michigan.
Larry was a loving husband, father & grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
