Michael Shawn Knox, 40, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away Friday, March 30, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2nd at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service also at the funeral home.
Michael was born on November 13, 1977 in Kansas City, MO, son of Rickie and Deboragh (Richeson) Knox. He graduated from Grain Valley High School in 1997. He was a Chiefs fan, he loved to talk and was very social. Michael never met a stranger and loved people. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; and a close aunt, Betty Lou Stapleton.
His survivors include his parents, Rick and Debbie Knox of the home; 1 sister, Pamela England (Stephen Keen) of Independence, MO; 1brother, Nicholas Knox (Alyssa Greedy) of Prairie Village, KS; 3 aunts, Pamela J. Botts of Lawrence, KS, Toni Beth of Independence and Barbara Nelson-Gorsage of Kansas City; niece, Toni Barker of Odessa, MO; nephew, Dalton England of Oak Grove; and grandniece, Althena Barker of Odessa.
