Joyce Darlene Lambert went to be with the Lord on September 14, 2011 after a 15-year battle with cancer. Joyce was born June 28, 1939 in Lee’s Summit, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents Louise (Bynum) Aldridge and Albert Aldridge, her sister Alberta Louise Craven and brother Allen Garnett Aldridge. She is survived by her husband, Harold Lambert, two sons and their wives, Jerry and Valerie Lambert and Scott and Lori Lambert, five grand-children, two step grand-children and two great grand-children, and a blessed caretaker, nurse and close friend of the family Cindy Stevens. She worked different jobs from SouthWestern Bell to reception positions to retail sales, but was best known as a full-time Wife, Mother and Grand-Mother. She was a born again Christian who touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.
Visitation will be Friday, Sep 16th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church Grain Valley, 207 W. Walnut, Grain Valley, Mo. Services will be at 10:00 am Sat, Sep 17th at First Baptist Church Grain Valley.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge—Kansas City, 1120 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64105.
