Anthony M. Lipari


Anthony M. Lipari, 82, of Independence, Mo, passed away November 26, 2014, at his home.  Born of March 25, 1932 in KC, Mo to Saverio (Sam) Lipari and Antonina DiMaggio. Mr. Lipari was a life long area resident.  He was a graduate of Manuel High School in KC, MO.  Anthony was united in marriage on Aug 5, 1954 in Littleton, Colorado to Madeline Grace Wilson.  He had served his country in the U.S. Airforce from 1950 to 1954.He was a route driver for Sealtest Dairy Co and later for Meadow Gold Dairy.  He later owned and operated Lipari’s Grill in the KC City Market area and also the Lipari Family Restaurant on East 24 Hwy in Indep, Mo.  His final employment was with the Jackson County Public Works Dept for 28 years and retired in 2009.  Anthony enjoyed gardening and he always entered the Indep Beef Steak Tomatoe Contest of which he won first place one year

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Madeline Grace Lipari of the home, his children, Connie (Lipari) Hubbard (Roger) of KC, Mo, Mike Lipari (Debbie), Indep, Mo, Antonette (Lipari) Lund of Overland Park, Ks, Sammy G. Lipari (Debi) of Warsaw, Mo and Anthony (Nino) Lipari (Julie) of Blue Springs, Mo, sister, Anne Lombardo (Jim) of Indep, MO and brother, James (Jog) Lipari (Donna) of Blue Springs, Mo. 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Nunzio Lipari, Steve Lipari, Lena Bundy, Francis Smith and Rose Cascone.  In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Crossroads Hospice.
