
Harold Wayne Cantwell, 88, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away peacefully on August 22, 2021.
Harold was born on October 21, 1932, in Mountain View Oklahoma, to parents William and Ross Cantwell. He moved to Independence Missouri and accepted a position as a Truck Driver at Mississippi Lime Company where he worked for more than 30 years.
Harold married Vera in 1957 going on to have 4 children together Rocky, Bobby, Terressa, and Jan. He was a social, active man who was deeply involved in the Odd Fellowes Lodge, a Lifetime member of the NRA, and a Christian. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed reading the Farmer’s Almanac, reading books, watching western movies, and was a history buff. His family and friends will always remember him as a storyteller, and a funny, loving, but stubborn old man.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Jan Jones, of Oak Grove Missouri, grandson Michael Wayne Hall, of Oak Grove Missouri, and his parents William and Ross Cantwell of Mountain View Oklahoma.
Harold is survived by his wife, Vera May Cantwell, of Oak Grove, Missouri, his three children: Rocky (Patricia) Cantwell of Lawton Oklahoma, Bobby (Molly) Cantwell of Folsom, Louisiana and Terressa Hall of Oak Grove, Missouri. He has several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends.
The family will have a small memorial on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Grace Baptist Church in Oak Grove as they share memories with one another to celebrate his life.
