Arvin Guy “Bob” Maples, 83, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3rd at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family.
Bob was born on July 2, 1926, in Seneca, MO, the son of James A. and Ollie A. (Daviss) Maples. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Bob married Vivian Raney in May 1981. He was a mechanic.
His survivors include his wife of 28 years, Vivian; eight children: Robert Maples, Cindy Fortner, Lynnette Maples, David Maples, Alex Maples, Ryan Maples, Natalie Maples, & Tiffany Maples; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie J. Smith; and many nieces & nephews.
