John P. McIndoo, 71, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away at his home April 16, 2014.
John was born April 22, 1942 in Independence, MO to Phillip M. & Florence A. (Murdock) McIndoo.
John attended Van Horn High School. He joined the Navy in 1960 and received an honorable discharge. He was a lifelong truck driver who won numerous safety awards. He retired from FedEx in 2013. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid fisherman. John married Vickie L McIndoo on May 17, 2003. John was a member of the First Baptist Church of Excelsior Springs, Excelsior Springs, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Wesley M. McIndoo.
John is survived by his wife Vickie of the home; their children: C. Lynne Marshall & husband Robert of Blue Springs, MO, John P. McIndoo of Blue Springs, MO, Renee L. Dennis & husband Andy Grajales of Independence, MO, Jeff H. Dennis of Odessa, MO; five grandchildren: Kyle J. Wright & wife Callie, Tyler J. Wright & wife Hayley, Alexa B. Wright, Landon S. Marshall, Makayla M. Dennis; four great-grandchildren: Braelyn, Samantha, Avery, Carrington.
A memorial service was held Tuesday April 22, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove with Rev. Randy Messer officiating.
