Dorothy Ann Means, 101, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15th at Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, MO. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs, MO.
Dorothy was born January 2, 1913, in Barnumton, Missouri, the daughter of Archie & Minnie (Holland) Curtis. She was a homemaker. Dorothy enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and sewing. She attended First Baptist Church of Blue Springs. She was a long-time resident of Friendship Manor, Blue Springs, and one of the first residents.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Her survivors include her son, Glenn & Mary Jane Means of Blue Springs; and her daughter, Ann & Henry Ruf of Independence, MO; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
